¡Hola!

I've been wanting to learn conversational spanish for the longest time but can't figure out how to go about doing it. Language CDs cost a pretty penny & I'm just not motivated like that so that wasn't going to work. I can take spanish classes in school but those classes begin late September when the rest of the school is back in session - which is fine - but they also go to school when we have our fall break & if you miss a class they drop you from the course like a hot potato. They take themselves waaay too seriously over there so I'd rather not mix it up with them.

So anyways, I was talking to my friend who's from south america & mentioned it in passing about my futile quest to learn spanish. Her response: "What?! I can teach you!" Turns out she's been a spanish tutor for folks at her church so she was more than happy to make me one of her students. For free! Wasn't that nice of her? Sí.

No big plans for this Labor Day weekend. Just sleeping. Zzzz. That and going out to watch a broadway play over the weekend with some friends. Then more Zzzz.
