First batch
of resumes & cover letters went out today (didn't have any classes). Sent out 20 to large firms in Columbus and Cincinnati. It is such a time consuming process mainly because each cover letter has to be tailored to each firm. Since I'll be a resident of Ohio after next summer, I'll be sending out resumes to firms around the country so imagine tailoring cover letters to 150 firms. Just thinking about it gives my wrist carpel tunnel. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Rejection letters should start coming in a couple of weeks but as one not to be detered, during christmas break I'll be sending out a few more resumes to smaller firms who's deadlines are usually in late Jan/early Feb. This is like a rite of passage for 1L's which is well worth it because if you land one of these summer associate positions, you'll be getting a good chunk o' change. I just might get lucky.
