Weekly Roundup

1) Immigration Reform: So the Senate has passed its version of an immigration bill and now its headed for a showdown with the House. Should be interesting how all this goes down. My two cents, let those who want to work work, however, don't put them on the path to citizenship. Give them work visas and let's call it a day. For those of you thinking that someone is going to round up 12 million illegals, I want some of that shit you're smoking. OBL is still out there and he's only 1 guy.....nuff said on that.

2) Go MAVS! However, if they don't step up and slow down down some of that Phoenix offense, it's going to be wrap. Somebody put a hand in Nash's face and see what happens...or maybe grab a hold of his nasty hair.

3) I made $62 from selling two of my Powerscore books (lsat prep). Gotta love Amazon...no setting up Paypal like Ebay altho' they charge a commission to sell books on their website. But what the heck, it's the most painless sale I've ever been a part of!

Applications

So far, I think I'm headed to OSU Moritz College of Law this fall. I visited the school in April and liked what I saw. Sanjeet Sant, who notified me of my acceptance via phone, was our 'tour guide' of sorts (he's very hot!) and he was really nice. Have also gotten a decent scholarship package from them so, it's kind of a done deal altho' I still want to get into the following schools which I've been waitlisted at:

1) Washington University, St Louis
2) University of Wisconsin
3) University of North Carolina

Really, it's just for bragging rights if I get in because no acceptance this far into the application cycle just means no scholarship money coming my way. I'm debt averse, so any free $$$ is highly appreciated.

As an aside, I was rejected by the University of Texas a few weeks ago, but with my kind of luck, they sent me an email saying I was a potential victim of fraud because someone from Asia had hacked into their business school and accessed the personal information of about 180,000 people. Now the question that begs to be asked is, what is my information doing in their business school database??? Was it not enough that you rejected me, now you have to add on to my misery by asking me to place a fraud alert on my credit file....assholes....may your law school rank plummet!

NBA Playoffs

Hahaha....Nothing makes me happier than when the Lakers get their asses beat. And guess who'll be back for Game 7.....Raja Bell. Gotta love the guy for clothes-lining Kobe and backing it up in the aftermath. Go Suns, don't let me down on Saturday!
